Who We Are
In electricity, business and life-timing is everything - 1989 was a pivotal year in many ways. Rich Daley served the first year of his record setting career as Chicago mayor. President George H.W. Bush took office. The Berlin Wall fell, and the Cold War ended. And a proposal for the start of something called the Worldwide Web was drawn up and submitted. Against that backdrop, in ‘89, a trustworthy south suburban native launched a business that would power and please thousands of satisfied customers for decades. Michael D. Kwasigroch (KWAHZ-ee-grow) opened the doors of a fair, honorable, and full electrical contracting business serving Chicagoland and beyond. His vision took root through the millennium and is now operated by a new generation of Kwasigrochs who carry forward his memory and his magnificent legacy of reliability and dependability. Mary Jo Kwasigroch
At Kwasigroch Electric, everyone is expected to lead-and empowered to be a leader. Leadership by example isn’t just a motto, it’s a way of life.
That philosophy is what drives Mary Jo Kwasigroch, the president of KEI. In 2022 when her husband Mike died after decades of leading KEI, Mary Jo assumed the reigns of a thriving company.
Now, she is on the job overseeing a dedicated KEI team and ensuring the quality work and innovation that Mike always delivered.
Mary Jo continues to carry on a legacy of excellence that you can rely on.
Mike Koenig
Mike Koeing General Manager for Kwasigroch Electric grew up in the southern suburbs, attending AA Stagg High School and Moraine Valley Community College. After working in sales, he joined the electrical union (LU134) in 1985, later installing cutting-edge technology at the University of Chicago. Transitioning into management in 1989, he supervised network cabling installations nationwide. Mike built a family and business in Wisconsin before returning to Illinois in 2001 to join Kwasigroch Electric. Since then, Mike has provided professional services to customers and resellers with expertise
and dedication.
